Brand Refresh

After Verizon revamped its brand identity in 2016, My Verizon App (MVA) needed to be refreshed to match the brand. AKQA and Verizon’s internal design team collaboratively created MVA’s new UI pattern library and remapped over 5500 pages.

 

Previous design

The previous app used more vibrant colors and illustrations. But it brought some pressure on loading speed, and distracted users from text that conveyed important messages.

Mapping

Instead of redesigning every single page of the entire app, we documented how original screens match up with the new design.

Result

The new My Verizon App has the average rating of 4.6 out of 5.0 (2.2M ratings) in Apple App Store, and 4.0 out of 5.0 (365K+ ratings) in Google Play Store.


Optimization

Continuously optimize My Verizon App digital experiences with a test and learn approach in order to enhance customer experience and improve key performance metrics.
